Organize bills

Coming SoonWindows

Keep household bills where you can find last winter’s copy.

Utility, internet, insurance, and similar bills arrive as email PDFs with forgettable names. 2cmd™ Ledger is Coming Soon: a local Windows way to suggest bill filenames and folders, with preview before apply.

Bills are regular, but the files are not

The same utility can produce a different download name every month. When a charge is questioned, the needed PDF is the one nobody renamed.

Households and landlords often keep bills beside receipts and contracts. A tool that treats everything as “finance” without review will misfile a lease next to an electric bill.

How Ledger would file bills

Drop or choose a folder of household PDFs and images. Ledger would list supported files and attempt to classify them as Receipt, Invoice, Bank Statement, or Other.

A utility or household bill that is not a receipt, invoice, or bank statement is intended to land in Other. Suggested names would appear in a preview. You could correct the vendor, exclude a file, and apply the rest.

Uncertain dates and amounts would be flagged or left out of the filename rather than filled in to look complete.

Local processing

Bills show service addresses and account references. Local processing is the v1 default. There is no customer document upload in the intended first release.

Nothing changes until you approve it

Apply is a confirmation step, not an automatic watch-folder action. v1 is not a background watcher. Undo is intended for the last completed batch.

What this is not

Ledger does not pay bills, scrape email, or integrate with utility portals. Bills are not a separate v1 document class. Photos of paper bills are in scope only as JPG, PNG, or WEBP plus PDF—not as a general photo library product.
