Coming Soon · Windows

Name and file documents on your PC.

2cmd™ Ledger is a Coming Soon Windows utility for ordinary money and administrative files. It reads supported documents locally, suggests conservative filenames and folders, and waits for you to approve every change.

How the v1 workflow is intended to work

Ledger is not released. This is the planned workflow, not a live product.

  1. Choose a folderSelect or drop a folder on your Windows PC. Ledger would discover supported files there.
  2. Read locallyDigital PDFs would be read on the computer. Images and scans would use OCR where needed. v1 is not intended to require uploading documents.
  3. Review suggestionsConservative filenames and destination folders would appear in a preview. Uncertain fields would be omitted or clearly flagged.
  4. Edit, then applyChange a name, skip a file, or keep a document where it is. Accepted operations would run as a journalled transaction. The last completed batch is intended to be undoable.

Built around review, not bulk guessing.

Classification is not guaranteed for every file. Preview is mandatory.

  • Four document classes

v1 classes are Receipt, Invoice, Bank Statement, and Other. Photographed documents follow the document class. Bills are not a separate class. Contracts are outside initial v1 intelligence.

  • Preview before apply

Every proposed rename and move would be visible first. You can edit suggestions and choose which rows to apply. Ledger is not a watch folder.

  • Undo the last batch

Apply is intended as a filesystem transaction with a journal. The last completed batch is meant to be undone safely. Collision handling is designed to avoid overwriting unrelated files.

Local Windows utility

Coming Soon. No purchase or download.

Unlimited discovery and preview are intended to stay free. The first 40 successfully applied files would be free, then a paid local licence with two-device activation. Licence checks are not meant to send document content.

Ledger is not accounting software, bookkeeping software, or an expense platform. It names and files supported documents.

Who it is for

Households, freelancers, landlords, sole proprietors, small offices, and anyone organizing old scanned paperwork on a Windows PC.
